OCEAN RHYTHMS
My approach to movement is strongly inspired by the
character of a place, by the materials, textures, and atmospheres specific to each culture.
The cultures that often inspire me are those that emerge from a natural relationship between the inhabitants and their living environments.
The Essaouira region is one of the hearts of the Artisanal and musical culture of the Amazight or Berbers.
The beauty of the coast and the ocean, the creativity discovered in the textiles, ceramics, weaving technics, and the life energy that emanates from the region.
A jovial and generous relationship is constantly fostered by the inhabitants of this port city. The relaxed atmosphere of this region is imbued with both surf culture and Gnawa music. The spirit of community and intercultural sharing is very present…
